Smoke Grenade

What it does

Deploys a smoke screen that blocks vision and automated targeting systems; weapon fire and explosions still rip through it.

Why it helps

• Cross an open street or yard without the enemy seeing you.
• Blocks automated targeting systems from seeing into the smoke.
• Covers your push onto an exposed objective.

When to use it

Pick it when the map has open ground or enemies hold long sightlines. Remember smoke does not stop bullets.

Player Level 4.

Use cases

• Crossing an open street or lane watched by a sniper.
• Hiding an objective capture or a bomb plant.
• Covering a revive or a retreat from a losing position.

Tips

• Place smoke between you and the threat, not on top of yourself.
• Exit from the side of the smoke, not the middle.
• Use it to cover a plant or capture, then move immediately.

Common mistakes

• Standing inside the smoke for long even though bullets go through it.
• Smoking your own position instead of the enemy's sightline.
• Exiting the smoke where the enemy expects you.
