Timeline
- Reveal and release date Official reveal: MW4 releases on Friday, October 23, 2026.
- Beta — Early Access (Weekend One) First Beta weekend for Early Access. Level cap 20.
- Open Beta (Weekend Two) Second Beta weekend, open to all. Level cap 30 and the Beta Forged reward.
- Pre-installation begins Pre-installation starts, with a choice of which content to download.
- Campaign Early Access The full Campaign for digital pre-orders, until launch day.
- DMZ Early Access DMZ Early Access begins.
- Launch Patch Notes Weapon, movement and spawn changes since the Beta.
- Launch MW4 launches in full: 20 Multiplayer maps, 33 weapons and DMZ in Hajin.
- First event The team said the first event starts on launch day. Its end date is not officially announced. The “MW4 Boot Camp” name and tasks in this guide were not found in the official posts we reviewed.
- Update — October 24 Stability, UI, Multiplayer and DMZ fixes.
- Update — October 25 Kill XP in Search and Destroy and Collateral raised from 100 to 300, plus fixes.
- Shipment returns A post-launch 6v6 map, on October 27 per the official post. The release time was not announced.
- Halloween modes Possession arrived on October 29. Infected is not in the notes yet.
- First weapon tuning October 28 update: SMGs, Kastov and M4 buffed; Oden, APOC-338 and FiNN nerfed. Dive speed down 23%.
- Seasonal Apex Attachments return Apex Attachments seen in the Beta from later events “will return soon”.
- Kill Block expansion 6v6 modes and new Slabs and configurations post-launch, no date.
- Season 1 Arrives “shortly after launch” with no announced date. No Weekly Challenges in Season 1; events replace them.

- October 28 update — first weapon tuning The first broad post-launch tuning, focused on hit-location damage and SMG performance. Range units are as listed in the notes.
