The Spotter Scope recipe unlocks at DMZ Level 12, together with the station upgrade that allows printing Field Upgrades. Cold-Blooded’s official description says it hides you from Spotter Scopes.

Use cases
- Guide suggestion: earn DMZ XP from Story Missions, Dynamic Operations, Side Ops and other activities; Multiplayer XP does not raise your DMZ level.
- Guide suggestion: use it to scout before approaching a mission area.
Tips
- Level 12 also unlocks Field Upgrade printing and the Ammo Box recipe.
- Remember that enemies with Cold-Blooded do not show up in Spotter Scopes.
- Scout from high, covered ground.
Common mistakes
- Relying on it alone against players running Cold-Blooded.
- Standing in the open while scouting.
